It was an unusually dark night with the man in his early days and unable to shine well the darkness had prevailed in the area. Every thing was silent as if the world is not existent. Even the wind could be heard easily. All the residents of the area were deep in sleep. Time seems to have jammed its wheels so the night was passing very slowly.

At the corner of the street there was some mysterious movement. Something’s appear ant as the part of the darkness but moving suddenly the movement stops and scattered around a house. Clad in dark black swtes and armed with pistols they were four in number and trying to break into the house, they were the dacoits. The house belonged to Mr.Hamza, who eiud their with his mother his wife and a little son named abdullah a six year old boy. All of them were sleeping peacefully unaware of what is going on outside their house. Dhum, one of the dacoits jumped over the wall into the house and opened the door of the house. All there got in quickly still they were as silent as the dead bodies. With the slightest possible noise they took position in front of the two rooms where the family members were sleeping.

          They barg  the doors of the rooms open statled by the noixe the family woke up hurridly finding men with a ghostly autfit hanging up pistols on them everybody started screaming.

          Shut up  silent are we will kill you shut up a heavy voice commanded.

          The dacoits now pushing every body to keep silent. A hush prevailed immediately in the room. We are here now and we are after money keep silent and cooperate, if any body of you tried to play smart we won’t hesitate to kill relentless immediately, you heard it’s said one of the dacoits in very dry voice. The other two dacoits brought the mother of Hamza in the room and how the whole family was on the their merry.

          Come on start searching everywhere collect what ever you can immediately we are short of time, quick, said the leader. Then he come to Hamza and said tell me yourself where are the valuable (But why you want to taking them, what wrong have we done to you) asked Hamza. Shut up and tell me or he held the gun to Hamza’s head. Please, Please, for God sake don’t I’ll tell you where they are they are in the cabinet draws you can take what ever you want but please don’t hunt please, craved Hamza’s wife, grasping her child and the husband. Come on check the cabinet dacoit commanded hex companion, it’s there told his companion.

          With in the short time the dacoits have collected every valuable thing from the house and started assembling. Abdullah holding her mother’s arm tightly was watching every thing sadly, he was so feared that he was sobbing. He couldn’t understand what is going or how these people got into his house and why they are threatening every body. Suddenly he turned to his father and asked baba! Who are they? Why are they taking our things? Hamza said, they are taking curry thing will they take us with them too? Asked the child very immediately. No my dear they are just after money they don’t care about humans. They are evil immediately a gustion popped into Abdullah’s mind! But baba Dadi Amma told me if I recite Ayatul Kursi before sleeping no evil can vome near in and Allah will take us in his protection baba I had recited Ayatul Kursi before sleeping but why is this happening now how these evil people came here, has Allah not taken us in his protection baba? He was asking the questions with great innocence. His voice was so lowed that every body in the room could hear it the leader of the dacoits who was standing near by felt strange at once, an eerie feeling am through his body and his heart forgot beating. He come close to Abdullah and said what did you say child. Do you remember Ayatul Kursi? Abdullah nodded his head. Can you recite it for me asked the dacoit Abdullah recited the Ayat from the depth of his heart. The feeling in the leader became stronger and stronger as Abdullah read the Ayat just when Abdullah stopped the dacoit had post control of his body, in a feeble voice he called his fellows to stop immediately, leave everything and stay way of the family. Then he furned to Abdullah and said of Course of Course son Allah does take into his protection these who recite Ayatul Kursi. Please forgone us all and pray for us you have opened our eyes cheeks. He brought out Rs.500/- note and said this is your gift son please accept it.

          The dacoit were gone and everything was there safe and sound.
