To take sehri is Sunnah, if a person is not hungry, and does not feel like eating, even then he should at least eat a few dates or anything else no matter how little it may be. If he does not want to have anything at all, he should at least drink some water.

Did not wake up in sehri
If any one did not wake up for sehri and all the members of the household went on sleeping, they should keep fast without having sehri. To give up the fast on account of not taking sehri is a sign of spiritlessness and also a major sin.

Taking Sehri at doubtful time
If a person got late to such an extent that there is doubt of crack of dawn, then it is sin to eat or drink anything. Moreover, if he had learnt that it was already the time of dawn, he will have to offer Qadah of that fast. But if he had not learnt about dawn and there is only doubt, then it will not be wajib (compulsory) to keep the qadah fast. However, it prudence demands that he should keep qadah of that fast.
