Respected Prime Minister

The vastness of his empire can be measured from the fact that its boundaries reached from Hind and Tartar to the Atlantic Ocean. The whole of the Islamic world, except Andalusia, was under his command. Rome and Greece too were dependant states. He has an outstanding position among the Abbasids because of his wisdom, astuteness, determination, valour, generosity, and ambitiousness. His appreciation and encouragement of artisans and skilled people attracted them from far and wide to his court. He was a firm believer and observer of the rules of the Shariah. He never delayed his salah except in illness; he alternated each year in jihad and ziarah of the Ka'bah sending a group of 300 hajis from his own expense when he was absent himself. When he did go, he took with him a great number of scholars and jurists.

You must know by now that I am talking about the famous Abbasid Caliph, Haroon Rashid who came to rule in 107 Hijrah. A childhood friend of Haroon Rashid was Hadhrat Sufyan Thuri (rahimuhullah 'alaihe). When he became the Khalifah, Haroon Rashid wished several times to see his friend but he was a man of God and uninterested in worldly things. He ignored the Caliph. Annoyed, the ruler wrote him a letter, "From Haroon Rashid to Brother Sufyan, Brother, you know that Allah has bound the Muslims in a link of Ukhuwwah. The relationship between me and you is still alive. All my old friends came to congratulate me and I returned them with valuable gifts. I am sorry that you have not come; I would have myself but it is against the dignity of the status of Khilafah."

Hadhrat Sufyan Thuri answered back, "From frail Sufyan to Haroon, adorer of wealth, You have admitted in your letter that you have wasted the Muslims' wealth in unnecessary and expensive gifts. You are still not satisfied and want me also to give evidence of your lavishness on the Day of Judgment. Haroon, you should be prepared to answer before Allaah. You sit on a grand throne and wear garments of silk; your door is always guarded, your ministers drink themselves but punish others for drinking; they fornicate themselves but cut the hands of thieves. Haroon, the day will come when your hands will be tied fast and you will lead your cruel ministers to the gates of Hell.

I have paid my due of compassion, and now, never write to me again!" When Haroon read the letter he gave a loud cry and wept for a long time. He was a softhearted person with eyes ready to run. Mansoor bin 'Ammar says that in that time three people were the most tender hearted whose fear of Allaah made them weep often; one was Fudhayl bin 'Ayyadh, the second Abu 'Abdur Rahman Zahid, and the third Khalifah Haroon Rashid. One day Haroon asked him the meaning of the ayah "wa taqatta 'u bi humul asbaab". He replied that on the Day of Judgment all worldly ties will be broken. Hearing this the Khalifah broke out in loud sobs.

Allaah loves the tears that flow in fear of His wrath or repentance of sins. Rasulullah (sallallahu 'alaihe wasallam) says that two drops are worth more than anything in the sight of Allaah, one the drop that falls (from the eye) in fear of Him, and the second, the drop that falls from a mujahid's body in the way of God.

Hadhrat Anas bin Malik (radiyallahu ta'ala 'anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu 'alaihe wasallam) said, "The one who remembered Allaah and his tears wet the ground of His (Allaah's) fear, will not be given punishment on the day of Qiyamah."

The wish comes repeatedly in my mind that if there had been a Sufyan Thuri now he could have addressed the Prime Minister thus, "Respected Prime Minister, there is a lot of talk of your wealth, your intelligence and shrewdness; your graciousness and ability. You have started your term with the noble deed of 'Umrah and the ziarah of the grav of (Rasulullah sallallahu 'alaihe wasallam). Congratulations on such a beginning.

Are you unaware of the facts that from years on end the ummah of the Rasul (sallallahu 'alaihe wasallam) has been avalanched with troubles, difficulties, and tribulations. Its body is wounded seriously from head to foot; the whole world's non-believers are making it a target. Enemies aside even friends don't refrain from aiming at it. Everywhere the believers are faced with derision, taunts, accusations, threats, shackles, and lynches. Each country and each city has become a "Taif".

Respected Prime Minister you too must have heard the cries of the women and children of WANA. God has given you a chance; for His sake, do something for the weeping, moaning, crying nation! Give it a helping hand, try to feel their hurt and assuage it. The blood of Muslims is very precious; do not allow others to play with it. Fear the lamentations of widows and orphans.

Sir! You are aware that the foundations of this country were laid on the words, "La ilaa ha" but our rulers have forgotten the true God and started worshipping false ones. If you establish the law of the true God in this country, the prosperity of both worlds will be at your feet.

Respected Prime Minister! Each person in this country is corrupt. Bribery begins from the top and ends at the basest level; there is no justice available; inflation has broken our backs, unemployment is widespread; thieves, robbers, muggers reign supreme. Peace is nowhere to be found, fear is rampant. Come forward and cut the hands off the thieves, break the claws of the tyrants, spread smiles on the faces of the oppressed, the hungry, the poor; give out justice......if you are successful in accomplishing all this, your fate will be sealed with glory here and hereafter.

But if this fails to happen, remember! The Day of Judgment will be a day of severity. You will have to pay for the tyranny of each minister, secretary, and soldier. When all of them head towards Hell, God forbid that you be their "Prime Minister".

U-TURN

U-Turn

It wasn’t a SAARC conference but a shark conference that gulped down a lot ideological differences, cultural contrasts, border disputes, differences on water resources,,,,,,,,all gone in a single swallow. The conference boasted peace talks, messages of solidarity, songs of love, setting up common borders, celebrating the historical event of 1857 together, it put forward suggestions of single currency and common passports, fresh cooperation and joint ventures in sport and culture, an accord was signed to curb terrorism, and pledges were taken to check border infiltration.

The pro-Hindu, hardened politician L K Adavni is beside himself with the success of the SAARC conference. Not only him but many international leaders, Pakistani politicians, and analysts are also giving out messages of felicitations. Yes, one should be happy at prospects of peace. War is not the answer to domestic and foreign problems. War turns cities buzzing with life into graveyards. Thousands of citizens are disabled and wounded, the road to development is blocked, business goes downhill, inflation hits the sky, the people cry out for a small piece of bread.

The Quran-e-Kareem illustrates the devastation of war concisely in the words of Queen Bilqees (Queen of Sheba),
“She said, when (conquering) kings enter a city or town it is ruined to rubble and its honorables are humiliated.”

War does not affect any one element but all aspects of life so it is always better to avoid it. The view taken by those intellectuals and writers makes sense, who continuously advocate peace and the pressing need for dialogue. On the other hand the views taken by those scholars cannot be ignored who are consistently warning us against an enemy who is known for its meanness, malice, prejudice, intolerance, selfishness, and hypocrisy; who is well known for its unique policy of stabbing in the back; who has not accepted us after the passage of 56 years; whose hands are dripping with the blood of eighty thousand Kashmiris; who is responsible for defiling the honour of thousands of respectable women; that with whom we not only have a political and geographical, but also an ideological conflict; who has never missed a chance to injure us or take revenge; who has never forgotten the one thousand years of Muslim rule over them. Those, who’s Prime Minister announced on the Fall of Dhaka,

“We have taken the revenge of a thousand years’ subjugation.”

The only reason for the barrage on River Chenab and Jehlam is to deprive Pakistan of their waters that will result in shortage for agriculture and give rise to a draught. The talks of free trade are not to improve Pakistan’s business but to boost their own. This was the very same desire for spreading business and a new market that played a key role in the creation of Bangladesh. Bharat was in urgent need of a market where it could dump its second-rate products. Today it has arrived on the same mission in Pakistan.

Let’s suppose that making transportation easier will encourage good relations between the two nations, but the question is, before the partition both nations had scores of chances to develop good relation every day, why did they not fraternize then? Let alone occupied Kashmir, talk of free Kashmir, and still further, Skardu and Gilgit on which they have set their eyes. We admit that some sort of sacrifice is needed for the solution of problems but this far? Where our national existence and our borders are compromised, no it is not acceptable to any of us.

The mujahideen of occupied Kashmir have put forward five conditions before the Indian Government to cease gorilla attacks: one, that India end the repeated mantra of calling Kashmir its “atot ang” (inseparable part) and accept it as a disputed territory; two, the problem of Kashmir be solved according to the wish of the people of Kashmir; three, the release of all Kashmiri prisoners; four, bring to a halt the persecution of unarmed civilians; and five, call back its army from Kashmir. Despite being weak, inadequately armed, and without any official support, they have respect for themselves and put forward terms of their own for a compromise. But we, who have not only nuclear power but are also a free nation, have not given any kind of stipulations.

We only want to give and want nothing in return. Yesterday we took a U-turn over the Afghan issue and today we want to turn about on the question of Kashmir. Yesterday, we betrayed the Taliban and today we want to close our eyes to Kashmiris. Do negotiate and try to create a better atmosphere, do give peace a chance for the 15 billion populace of both the countries as there is no question of progress without peace, do organize more SAARC conferences; but for God’s sake do not let it become a Shark. A shark which is going to eat up our freedom, ideology, identity, our jihadi sentiment, our individuality, our customs and culture, our nation and land, even our very existence.

Regret

Regret

I am staring in bewilderment at the burnt corpses of the innocent little twin brothers....
The Divine Power has His own scheme of providing or withholding offspring, which is without doubt a wisdom-based system. Some yearning arms remain empty forever; some are given boys, some girls, and others both. It is another debate that a Mu'min should have firm belief in destiny, but the desire for boys is ingrained in the human breast. One can of course pray, or even wish, but not act in any way that would anger the Decider of male or female. One hears of couples that get out of their minds in their wish for a male child, are again and again swindled by doctors, hakims, quacks, so-called magicians, but even then never give up hope. Even their trials and tribulations fail to lead them to the sweet satisfaction of bowing to Allah’s will. The acquisition of a son seems to them the greatest gratification and the solution to all problems. Man faces problems and his nature makes him believe that if this problem were solved he would be happy and content with no other worries or desires to bother him; the second, third, fourth problem leads him through the same feelings and he, designating it the last one runs to solve it like a mad man. Problems keep getting worked out but his madness instead of being satiated gains new heights...the desire for sons is one such desire that maddens those who are not aware of daughters being a mercy and dissatisfied with destiny.

But you would rarely have heard a tragedy so sad, that a mother burnt her lovely innocent children with her own hands. But we, who are gradually becoming the heirs of the practical, moral, and social waywardness; immoralities, excesses, lawlessness, and corruption of bygone nations; are finding such shocking and heartless acts recurring incidence. A number of unmarried mothers do such a thing to cover their black deeds, but the little twins I am talking about were the legitimate children of their mother. The little angels were not given up to lashing flames by any other than their own mother who wrapped them in a blanket, poured kerosene over them and struck a match. The mother who is a shade of love, a sea of affection, a tower of greatness, a fortress of adoration, a sign of heaven, the most beautiful gift of nature, a sweet gentle breeze.........the mother who gives up her warm and dry bed to her wet child, becomes a shield in troubled times, provides coolness in the harshness of the world...no one can even imagine how a mother who conjures up the music of falling water, the coolness of stars, and the fragrance of flowers could throw to flames her own flesh and blood? Imagine it or not but it is the truth. This did happen at the hands of a mother in the cultured metropolis of Karachi. A woman named Zahra, laying aside family traditions, honor and shame, married a handsome, well-dressed, eloquent man of her choice.

The print and electronic media have afflicted our sisters and daughters with the disease of idealism. A number of them knock around on roads, parks, markets, clubs, parties, colleges, and universities looking about for their ideals. A few meetings and outward get up are enough to decide them on their “life partners”, putting aside family background and practical and moral drawbacks. The parents are taken aback by their daughter’s imprudence; they beg and cry, try to frighten her with pictures of future unfaithfulness, with the dishonor among the family...but she hardly cares and rejects all appeals labeling them narrow-minded social hurdles; her enemy, and God knows what. She stands fast on her decision because this is what she has learnt from digests and tele dramas.

The first few months go by in a dream and she proudly shows off her love and laughs at the “frights” given her by her family and relatives. Then the rosy tints fade and life faces her in all its crudeness, then she starts lamenting her decision. The well-dressed, handsome, loving man she had married starts to change. The outer shell sheds and out comes a frightening, hard, loathsome character. The sentimental, unwise girl who spurned the love of her parents, the sincerity of here siblings, and the concern of relatives becomes frightened. She feels alone in a place where beasts abound and there is no sympathetic hand to help her out.

And when she is left all on her own with that piece of paper with “divorce” written on it, she is either compelled to sell herself or hide her face and beg on roads, or give up her life, or...like Zahra, burn the beautiful pictures she herself created. Countless Zahras are regretful of their decisions after emerging from their intoxication and deceitful pride...but this regret is of no use.

Come to think of it, this regret should also encompass the parents who never question their daughter’s freedom, licentiousness, mixing with the opposite sex, going alone in parties, making boy friends...but when their honor is at stake, they shake the sky with their cries.

This regret should also be shared by the untruthful flag bearers of women’s rights who encourage young girls to elope and stand against Islamic traditions and who then present such cases as models for others to follow.

This regret should also be shared by those reformers who have become negligent of their duty of social reform in their pursuit of unnecessary debates, indulgence, and desire for wealth. It is the result of their negligence that has resulted in the meaninglessness of shame and honor; that has made fornication easy and marriage difficult, that has advanced dowry and countless other meaningless customs that has made the easiest of the Sunnah of Rasoolullah (salallahu alaihi wasallam) the most difficult.

Until and unless there is a restraint on the free mixing of the sexes, until the importance of chastity and modesty are impressed in hearts, until reformers play their roles in society, unless marriage is freed from unnecessary, self-made, and ignorant customs, emotionally unstable “Zahras” will continue revolting against their families; temporary bonds will continue to bind; shells will continue to break; bitterness will continue to raise its head; homes based on lust will continue to break; divorces will continue to proceed; regrets will continue to be wept over.......but there will be nothing left except burnt bodies, cracking bones, blackened corpses, news reports and lamenting newspaper columns!

Two causes of Muslims’ downfall

You would have heard of such writers whose pen sprinkles a galaxy of words on paper. You would have seen such forceful speakers who have the ability to ignite the passions of audience. Your would have seen such poets whose poetry gets worldwide acclaim. You would have read about the philosophers whose reasoning mystified the people. You would have come across such politicians who have the capability to work wonders. You would have been impressed by the popularity of scientists who scale the planets. You would have heard about the businessmen whose wealth has no bounds. You would have heard of the rulers who know the tricks to lengthen their rule.

But the number of those exemplary people was and is very little who feel for the whole Muslim Ummah and ache for the true religion, who feel the pain in their heart if a thorn pricks the foot of a Muslim in the last corner of the world. Their love is beyond racial, linguistic and country boundaries, their thought is higher than skies and vaster than deserts, their insight is deeper than oceans, and their words and actions have no clash. Their life is dedicated for the cause of others.

In every era, such great people are very little in number but not non-existent. If the face of earth got totally devoid of such people, there would be doomsday on earth. There are many preceding personalities that may be rightly counted among such great people. In this column, we shall discuss only one such person.

Sheikh-ul-Hind, Maulana Mahmood Hassan Deobandi was a class unto himself. A torchbearer and a leader of politics simultaneously, he was very much aggrieved over the oppressions against Muslims in Balkan and Trabulus. Mufti Aziz-ur-Rahman writes, “When Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Hind would hear about defeat to the Turks, tears would roll down from his eyes making his beard wet. All night, he would pray to Allah. It seemed as if he would chew the British if he could.”

He gave leaves to the teachers and students of his madrasah and sent them to village and towns for collecting donations. He gave his own salary and the salaries of teachers and other staff as donations. At his order, the students donated even their educational awards and the food of their canteen. His concern for the Ummah made him the leader of mujahideen of the world. His emergence as the leader of mujahideen was unbearable for the British. They arrested Hazrat Sheikh-ul-Hind and imprisoned him in an island of Malta. The British did imprison his body but could not imprison his heart and mind. In the jail, he would feel anguished for the downfall of the Muslim Ummah.

After being released in 1920, he returned to Hindustan. Once speaking at a big gathering of `Ulama, he said, “We learnt two lessons from our life in Malta.” These words made the whole audience attentive, as they wanted to know what the 80-year-old sage was going to say. “In the loneliness of jail in Malta, I pondered over the causes of Muslims’ ruination both religiously and temporally, I found out two causes: One, forsaking the Quran. Two, internal differences and discords. From the jail, I have come with a resolve that I would spend the rest of my live in promoting the Quran and its meaning. There is a need that madrasahs for children are set up in every town and village to give children the literal education of Quran, and public gatherings are organized for enlightening the adults with the meaning of Quran and preparing them to act accordingly. And the internal differences among the Muslims should not be tolerated at any cost.”

If we cool-mindedly ponder over the causes of Muslims’ downfall and disgrace, we shall find the two very causes as responsible. The Holy Quran is the command centre of all individual and collective matters, rituals and worships of the Muslims. As long as the Muslims retained the Quran as their leader, they were the leaders of the world. Under the leadership of the Quran, wherever they marched, they conquered and big powers of the time fell to them. But when the Muslims diverted from the way of Quran, they lost their leading role and their unity as a nation crumbled. The Muslims have not only become apathetic towards Quran but also they have started distorting the meaning of Quran. Everyone is at liberty to call himself a scholar of Quran and define the meaning of Quranic verses from his own mind.

In the same way, the other secret of Muslims’ power and rule over the unbelievers was their unity, which has has vanished too. As long as they were maintained the bonds of emaan and brotherhood, they were dominant over the whole world and when they started begrudging their own brothers and making friends with the enemies, they fell in the abyss of disgrace and humiliation. It is strange that we do not take lesson from our history. The whole Muslim history is a witness that the Kuffar alone could never defeat the Muslims, rather, it was Muslims’ internal discord that always led to defeat. The land of Andalusia was majestically ruled by the Muslims for eight hundred years, and its magnificent mosques, splendid buildings and beautiful gardens still recall their originators. When did the Muslims’ downfall begin there? Only when they divided in sects and races and started calling the Christians for help against one another. Baghdad – the then centre of Muslims' knowledge and politics – was savagely destroyed by the Tartars only when the Muslims got engaged in internal conflicts and lost tolerance for one another. The then ruler of Baghdad wanted to weaken his rival Khuarzam Shah. So, he invited the Tartars to attack the Shah. The Tartars first destroyed Khuarzam Shah’s empire and then wrecked Baghdad.

Today, Andalusia and Baghdad-like situation is prevailing again. The Muslims have plunged in discord, dispersion and sectarianism despite they are facing an enemy that is more merciless, more savage, more cunning and more prejudiced than the Tartars. The enmity of Tartars was confined to some rulers and kingdoms while the present-day enemy is out to annihilate the Muslims from the face of the world. It wants to beat the Muslims one by one. First, it played havoc with Afghanistan and the whole world acted as a silent spectator. Now, it has unfolded its plans against Iraq, Iran, Somalia and Yemen.

Apart from the international scenario, the inside situation is very frightening too. The most regretful fact is that the Islamic organizations are at great distance from one another, providing the anti-Islam forces with an opportunity to criticize them. We wish that at least the upright ulama gathered under command of one Ameer (leader). The Muslims of Hindustan were lucky for they had got the “Sheikh-ul-Hind” under whose command and leadership Muslims from every sect got united. We wish all the Islam-loving people in Pakistan agreed on one Ameer. The formation of one unified organization under one Ameer would inspirit the Muslims and frighten the enemies. It is pertinent to mention that when Sheikh-ul-Hind’s health declined to irrecoverable state, he called for electing an upright scholar as leader after him. Just one week before his demise, Jami`at Ulama-i-Hind was holding its second annual meeting. Though he was too sick to move, he said: “Take my cot to the meeting place. All people of wisdom and knowledge from all over Hind are present there. They must elect an Ameer. I will be the first person to pledge the oath of allegiance at the hands of that Ameer.”

It is to be noted that most of the participants in the meeting were his students and murids but still he was prepared to pledge the oath of allegiance at the hands of one Ameer elected from among them. In our beloved country, is it not possible that for the protection of Islamic values, religious institutes and our future, all the righteous people elect from among themselves one capable and insightful person as Ameer and get united under his leadership?

The sage of the time, Sheikh-ul-Hind Mahmood Hasan had pointed out two causes of Muslims’ downfall. The two causes are still playing the pivotal role in the downfall of the Muslim Ummah today. For everyone who dreams of the revival of Islam and eminence of Muslim Ummah, it is vital to spend his capabilities in eliminating the two causes. When the light of Quranic education would spread, the darkness of fallacies would automatically shrink, and when the upholders of right would get united, the upholders of falsehood would get frightened, not being able to rise again.

Prays of people in distress

O’ Lord! Where should we go? Why the vast earth has been narrowed on us? Why the life is restless and miserable? The wound of Afghanistan had not yet healed that operation against Iraq began. The worst ever butchers and vultures of the world have gathered in Iraq. They are clawing off the flash of bodies of innocent Iraqi Muslims who have been killed in fierce bombing by the US-led forces. World media is relaying news reports of each moment but people have no courage to listen to the horrible saga of Muslims. Every picture and every report is horrible and adding more and more to the miseries. Western media particularly giving details of war as they are relaying the running commentary of any first class match.

Tanks are crushing the populations, canons are firing firebombs, and airplanes are dropping huge bombs. This all is resulting into screams and sighs of small kids. Women and children are mourning over the bodies of their loved ones. Iraq is red. Human limbs are scattered all around. There are a few wounded who are about to take their last breath, are reciting the verses from the Holy Qur’aan. Those who were getting tired of walking in the Karbala field, hands which were swollen fighting enemies, are now looking for a Sultan Salahuddin Ayyubi. People are waiting that Ummah will wake up but all such expectations proved just dreams.

The history of Muslim never experienced such a situation of callousness. O people! What a crisis is this. Pharaoh is roaming around without any fear. But there is no follower of Hazrat Kaleem. Namrood is claiming supremacy but the courage of Hazrat Khalilullah is not seen anywhere. Abu Jehl is feeling so proud of being the supreme on the earth. But, God forbid, there is nobody who would take care of the Sunnah. The atheists are more powerful and proud of their worldly wealth. Neither any Muslim has the honour what Hazrat Farooq (radhiallahu ta`ala `anhu) showed nor the leadership of Hazrat Sa‘ad (radhiallahu ta‘ala ‘anhu) and Hazrat Khalid bin Arfatah (radhiallahu ta‘ala ‘anhu) is seen anywhere. Neither anybody shows the stability of Hazrat Huzaifa (radhiallahu ta‘ala ‘anhu) nor anybody seems to be stubborn like Hazrat Rabi bin Amir (radhiallahu ta‘ala ‘anhu).

No one is found having desire of Shahadah like Hazrat Khalid bin Waleed (radhiallahu ta‘ala ‘anhu).
Where are those people today about whom the Nazarene kings and their envoys had said: “We have experienced a nation in which every single person prefers death on life. Those are the people who prefer simplicity on luxurious lifestyle. None of them desires for the glittering world. They prefer to sit on the floor and dine together. Their Emir is a common person and they do not have classes of big and small people. Most of the times it becomes difficult to distinguish who is the lord and who is slave? When it is prayer time, no one stays behind. They purge their body by ablution and offer prayers with full concentration.”

The Christian kings and rulers heard through their envoys: “They never give up even they face enemy a thousand time bigger than them.”

Alas! We have such a generals in our fate who give up even before the dummy crusaders. They die before the enemies opt to kill them. They desire for life over the martyrdom.
What a pity situation. People are dying of thirst along the Euphrates River. No one is there to give them a little water. People are crying of pains and wounds but no one is there to daub ointment. The Iraq of Hazrat Khalil (`Alayhissalaam), Baghdad of Imam Abu Hanifa (rahimahullah) and Imam Abu Yousuf (rahimahullah), and the land of Hazrat Ma’rufi Karkhi (rahimahullah), Hazrat Sari Saqi (rahimahullah), Hazrat Junaid Baghdadi (rahimahullah) and Hazrat Salahuddin Ayyubi (rahimahullah) is in the grip of flames but there is no one who could put the flames off. People of Iraq are like the herd without the driver.

Although there are Muslim kings, princes, Shaikhs and affluent, their uncountable wealth is saved in Switzerland, Paris, London and New York banks. They are ‘so-called’ Muslims but do not have sympathies towards their Muslim brethren who are in serious crisis. They have full-blown youth but that is not to fight enemy but to dance with the Westerners in nightclubs. There are well-built people in different uniforms but not to challenge the enemies of Islam, but to protect the interests of Jews, Nazarenes and Hindus. They have military bases not to defend the homeland but to extend logistic support to the Americans and its allies. They have sea routes, not to protect their waters and boundaries but to give passage facilities to the stinking atheists. They have palaces to organize dance and music parties. They have talent and wisdom to make the revolutionary movements unsuccessful.

They have traditions to make fun of own Muslims and bury own countrymen. How many mothers are there who want to sacrifice their sons for the cause of Islam? How many sisters are there who want to say goodbye to their brothers departing to wage Jihad against non-believers? How many Muslims are there who want to give their lifetime earning to help their Muslim brethren in time of serious? Alas! Muslims do not find a leadership who would show the right path to their countrymen. O skies! See our state that is the outcome of our misdeeds and sins. It was a time when our shepherds were capable enough to lead a nation but today our leaders and rulers do not have such capabilities.
People in distress are praying to Allah Almighty to bless them with His mercy, change their state to betterment and pull them out of crisis. They are praying for a life with dignity or a death with honor.

O’ Lord, Who listens even to the insects, please bless us with a Salahuddin Ayyubi (rahimahullah) out of all our rulers, kings and princes. O’ Allah we seek your pardon and mercy. Take all the worldly luxuries from us and bless us with a respectable life. Aameen.
