The Holy Month is round the corner

The Holy Month for which the Sahaba-i-Keram used to wait as someone waits for dear and near ones, is round the corner. Renowned companion of Sahaba -i-Keram, Moalla bin Fazl (rahimahullah), describes the yearning of Sahaba -i-Keram for Ramadhan ul Mubarak and says: “Sahaba-i-Keram, for six month of the year used to pray to Almighty Allah to give them life to see the Holy Month of Ramadhan and rest of the months they used to pray to Allah to accord acceptance to their fasting.”

According to Hazrat Ans, (radhiallahu `anhu), Holy Prophet, Muhammad (sallallahu `alaihe wasallam) used to pray during the months of Rajab and Sha’baan, “O’ Allah, bless us with courage and life to see the Holy Month of Ramadhan.”

It was the routine of the Holy Prophet (sallallahu `alaihe wasallam) that he used to start fasting in the month of Sha’baan, which shows his yearning for the Holy Month. According to Ummul Mu’mineen, Hazrat Ayesha, (radhiallahu ta`ala `anha), “Hazrat Muhammad (sallallahu `alaihe wasallam) used to fast for full month of Sha’baan and in the month of Ramadhan his prayers including recitation of Holy Qur’an, used to touch the height and his generosity had no precedence specially in this month.”

The month has arrived in which the heaven is specially decorated, a number of people are pardoned, reward for prayers and good acts increases hundred times, prayers are accorded special blessings, the followers of Islam are told to rush to earn more and more blessings of Allah, while those who indulge in sins are told ‘this is not the month to indulge in such activities’, this is the month of blessings and salvation. Those days and nights have arrived in which hearts are filled with true love for Allah, foreheads do not get tired touching the ground to beg for the blessings of Almighty Allah, Muslims shed tears to beg Allah’s pardon against sins they have committed, and in return Almighty Allah pardons all such people who see the Holy Month of Ramadhan and devote their life, their time, their thinking and everything to the prayers for Allah only.

This is the month when people do not beg Allah’s blessings for themselves only but they beg for Allah’s blessings for their dear and near ones too. Holy Prophet (sallallahu `alaihe wasallam) has advised Muslims to beg for Allah’s blessings in a way: “O’ Allah, grant us pardon against the sins we have committed, protect us from the fire of the hell, pardon all those including our parents, forefathers, relatives and all Muslims who have departed from this world. O’ Allah protect them all from the punishment.” In case someone opts for brief prayers then he or she must beg for Allah’s blessing with these words: “O’ Allah we beg for heaven as reward to our prayers and protect us from your wrath and severe punishment.”

The Golden Days of Allah’s blessings have arrived in which those, who see the Holy Month and take benefit of it, are the fortunate but those who miss the opportunity, are the most unfortunate. These are the wordings of the Holy Prophet who never spoke lies even in joke.

According to Ka`aba bin Ajra (radhiallahu ta`ala `anhu), one day Hazrat Muhammad (sallallahu `alaihe wasallam) asked people to come closer to the rostrum. People gathered near the rostrum. The Holy Prophet (sallallahu `alaihe wasallam) climbed the first step of the rostrum and said ‘Aameen’, he took the second step and again said ‘Aameen’, similarly on his third step he pronounced the same word. When he finished his sermon and came down from the rostrum, people asked: “What was so special that you pronounced Aameen three times when you climbed up three steps of the rostrum?” The Holy Prophet (sallallahu `alaihe wasallam) replied: “When I was climbing the rostrum, Hazrat Gabriel (`alayhissalaam) came in front of me and on my first step he prayed, ‘Allah’s wrath for those who find the Holy Month but miss the opportunity to beg for Allah’s blessings, I said Aameen. On my second step Hazrat Gabriel (`alayhissalaam) said, Allah’s wrath for those who listen something about the Holy Prophet but do not recite Durood, I said Aameen and on my third step Hazrat Gabriel (`alayhissalaam) said, Allah’s wrath for those who have their parents but never take care of them in their old days and miss the opportunity to enter the heaven, I said Aameen.”

The Moon is going to appear that brings oceans of blessings with it. This is the beginning of a month in which Satan is kept away from the followers of Islam, hearts are enlightened with excessive love for Allah, His Holy Prophet and for the humanity. Why all this? Because this is the month in which the Holy Qur’an was sent. It was the time when the real Merciful to human being, Hazrat Muhammad (sallallahu `alaihe wasallam) was sitting the ‘Hira’ that someone held him tight and said: ‘Iqra’ (recite). This was not an ordinary message but it was the message from Almighty Allah. This was the brief to the celestial book, which has been intact since centuries and it will remain unchanged till the end of all worlds.

All publications become obsolete, but the Holy Qur’an is the only book that has been unchanged since centuries and guiding the humanity and it will continue to guide till the world finishes. There will be no change in it. This is the only book which has all predictions coming true. This is the only celestial book that enlightens the world.

So, those who have made their hearts rusty with their excessive sins and have paved way to the hell, should have wisdom and beg Almighty Allah’s pardon in this holy month. They should pray to beg for Allah’s blessings to protect them from the greater punishment in their life hereafter. So, people, come forward, don’t waste time. Make this month, a memorable month of your life. Nobody knows who would see the next Ramadhan.
