O critics, pray! Cease your lies and have the guts to reveal the truth. The truth, that cannot be hidden but comes out of the layers of lies and deceit like the sun from the cover of clouds. The same man who was conferred with six honorary Doctorate degrees, who is the only person to be given the ‘Nishan-e-Imtiaz’ twice, who is the recipient of the ‘Hilal-e-Imtiaz’ , who was celebrated as the benefactor of Pakistan, the man who was so shaken by the Fall of Dhakka that he came running back to his homeland turning down lucrative foreign prospects to help defend his country. He worked round the clock, ignoring his health and the threats coming from the West. He silently kept on working. He had only one dream, that of supplying his country with an impenetrable shield that would prevent any future tragedies like Dhakka.

The aim outstripped the means, he stood empty handed at the foot of the high mountain with his sight set on the lofty peak above. Friends and foes alike were dubious of the ability of this accomplished person of an unaccomplished and underdeveloped nation to deliver the goods. But firm determination results in unbelievable results; stones soften, distances shrink, skies lower, time and space get smaller, gaps are bridged, gales are reined in, and storms bridled: nature rejoices in lending a hand. This is what happened and this man was successful in turning one of the 56 Islamic nations into a Nuclear Power.

Where the news sent waves of delight throughout the Islamic World, the rest of the world, specially India, Israel, and the West were filled with consternation. Everyone knew that Pakistan’s Atomic Power would be hard to swallow by the non-believers, but no one would have dreamt that our benefactors would be thus vilified by our own hands. Those being acclaimed with the highest awards would be hailed as selfish materialists ready to sacrifice everything for plots of land, some buildings, a few cars, and a little money. Tales upon tales are being told. From Dubai to West Africa, from Islamabad to London, the hunt is on to unearth clues of the property these ‘benefactors’ and ‘ideals’ may have amassed in return for their conscience and the country’s secrets.

This quest is being made by those kings of the media whom we have been made to believe have not two but a thousand eyes; who, we foolishly believe can see in the dark and into the depths of the earth; who we believe, are aware of divine decrees in advance; whose reports and analysis we believe, are based hundred percent on the truth free of any mistake or fancies. Such critics on one hand are pulling to pieces the dignity of our champions, disparaging them as self-centered egoists, materialists, traitors, and men without principle. On the other hand they are confirming the observation of the American judge who once gave the following remarks about Pakistanis in court:

“These Pakistanis have no principle; they’re ready to sell anything for dollars, even their own mothers!”

We have given solid proof by our tales in the papers that we and ours are all for sale….our dignity, our respect, our bodies, our land, our technology, our science, our atom bomb, even our country and its patriots!

Doctor Abdul Qadeer Khan is a human not an angel and we have never taken him to be one. It was the same kings of the media who had propagated the image of Abdul Qadeer Khan’s charismatic personality and gifted intelligence, who had projected him as our savior and knight in shining armor, whose image was erected not only in the news but also on the cross roads of Islamabad. Today, the same kings are telling us that the same image was nothing but a hollow icon filled with the greed of wealth and position. An empty icon who was selling Nuclear technology on the stalls of the international market for not patriotic but personal gain; who paid to have his eulogies written, who had salaried columnists working for him, who emptied his pockets to have ceremonies in his name.

This game has not only been played with Dr. Khan but with other people, other parties, and other policies too. Those who were mujahideen yesterday are terrorists today, that which was jihad yesterday is a terror campaign today, those jihadis who were till yesterday their rescuers are today the root of all evil.

If you think that your lies will make America happy then it can only be called wishful thinking or foolishness. We too can see the cruel storm heading our way but bowing to western demands is not the answer. It will only accelerate and swell the oncoming storm.

The demands to change the infrastructure of the religious schools, to shackle the religiously minded, to ban the jihadi organizations, to roll back the nuclear programme….these are all just harbingers of the final demand……….for Muslims to give up their faith and nation. The prophesy had been made 1400 years ago by the All-Knower Rabb, Allah. He says:

“And the Jews and Christians will never (ever) be pleased with you until you adopt their religion.”

Those columnists who are trying to assert that the sacrifice of a few scientists will ensure the security and approval of our nuclear projects by the Jews and Christians are living in a fool’s paradise and wishing the whole nation to live in it with them. The people who do not hesitate to surrender their benefactors to save their own skins are deprived of any further assistance. It is a silent retaliation of destiny.

Countless such champions of knowledge, jihad, research, and science, have been the target of our disrespect and insolence. We merit this silent vengeance. A country that is already panting for men of potential will die of longing!
